In 2007 Nike UK deployed SAP BW (Business Warehouse) as a Data Warehouse to centralize enterprise reporting and manage data object flows across its UK operations. The implementation targeted SAP BW (Business Warehouse) as the primary data modeling and staging layer for consolidated reporting and analytical workloads.
Configuration work focused on SAP BW data modeling and InfoProvider design, implementing standardized DataSources and extract routines to capture transactional feeds from SAP ECC. SAP BW (Business Warehouse) was configured to support staging, transformation logic, and structured InfoCube and DataStore object management consistent with enterprise data warehousing practices.
Operational integration supervised the end to end process and objects flow from ECC to SAP BW to Informatica to Teradata to Cognos. Extracts from ECC were staged and curated in SAP BW, ETL orchestration and additional transformations were managed through Informatica, persistent enterprise tables were hosted in Teradata, and Cognos was used for report consumption and BI delivery.
Governance emphasized supervised object lifecycle and process flow control, including transport sequencing, ETL scheduling and coordination between SAP BW, Informatica and Teradata teams. The implementation narrative centers on Nike UK SAP BW (Business Warehouse) as the Data Warehouse backbone for cross-system data orchestration and BI consumption.
