In 2014 NOC NSF implemented AFAS HR Self Service to move core HR and benefit processes onto AFAS, targeting digitalization of stipendium and reimbursement arrangements for elite athletes. The implementation centered on AFAS HR Self Service within the HR Self Service category and focused on formalizing athlete stipend and reimbursement workflows under a centralized employee self service model.
Irixs Netherlands acted as the implementation partner, bringing stipendium and reimbursement processes into AFAS and configuring the AFAS HR Self Service application to support scheme setup and benefit administration. Functional capabilities implemented included digital reimbursement request and approval workflows, stipend disbursement configuration, role-based access for HR and finance, and configuration patterns to enable faster provisioning of new schemes, with planned extension to AFAS Pocket mobile access noted in the partner case.
Operational coverage targeted NOC NSF athlete programs and associated HR and finance functions, with governance changes to standardize scheme setup and processing. The work by Irixs Netherlands emphasized process consolidation inside AFAS HR Self Service, improving reliability of stipend and reimbursement handling and enabling quicker configuration of new athlete support schemes.
