The program used a wave based rollout, with a Release Manager assigned to Wave 4 and a targeted rollout to three additional Northern Ireland Civil Service departments under that release. Functional configuration focused on inventory control integrated with purchasing and receiving workflows, item master configuration, stock transaction processing and inventory accounting interfaces to Financials, consistent with Inventory Management category capabilities. The deployment also configured iProcurement and Purchasing to support supplier ordering and P2P workflows, while iExpenses and Grants were designed and tested under the P2P functional stream. Testing and cutover were governed through staged integration testing, user acceptance testing and operational readiness testing, with Testing and Cutover leads responsible for cross-team coordination of cutover activities. Change requests were actively managed to minimize schedule impact, and risks were identified with mitigation plans assigned. The P2P Functional Consultant led design, build and test activities for iExpenses and Grants and coordinated conference room pilot presentations during Wave 1.
