In 2013, Novant Health implemented Infor Lawson as its ERP Financial application to centralize finance and procurement business functions. The Infor Lawson deployment targeted core financial operations and explicit contract and item maintenance workflows across the health system.
Infor Lawson was configured to support standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger and accounts payable, while emphasizing procurement master data and item master management. The project included configuration of contract and item maintenance processes, data validation rules, and catalog controls to standardize financial and procurement records.
Novant Health utilizes Lawson and Ariba for contract and item maintenance, integrating Infor Lawson with Ariba to coordinate contract records and item cataloging between systems. The integration enabled aligned procurement and contracting workflows and supported finance, procurement, supply chain, and contracting teams within Novant Health.
Governance centered on centralized item and contract master data ownership in finance and procurement, with role based approvals and formal change control to manage updates to contracts and item definitions. Operational workflows were restructured to route contract and catalog changes through the Infor Lawson and Ariba integration, establishing consistent processes for maintenance and procurement recordkeeping.

| UKG | Legacy | UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper (ex Kronos Workforce Timekeeper) | Time and Attendance | HCM | n/a | 2006 | 2006 |
In 2006, Novant Health implemented UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper (ex Kronos Workforce Timekeeper) for Time and Attendance. The deployment established a centralized time collection and timecard system supporting Novant Health's 36,877 employees in the United States, positioning UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper as the authoritative source for workforce hours and exceptions feeding HR and payroll downstream.
The implementation configured core Time and Attendance capabilities including clock in and clock out capture, scheduled shift rostering, timecard editing and manager approvals, accruals and pay rule enforcement, and exception management. Configuration work emphasized compliance-driven pay rules and manager approval workflows, and the system served as the operational record for payroll input and time-based workforce administration.
Integrations were focused on payroll processing, with UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper interfacing into the payroll environment and PeopleSoft for final payroll runs, reflecting that processing payroll via Kronos and PeopleSoft was part of the operational model. The timekeeping system exported payroll files and exception reports to PeopleSoft, creating a direct handoff from Time and Attendance to payroll execution.
Governance and operational ownership rested with payroll and HR operations, which standardized time entry policies, approval processes, and audit trails to support payroll accuracy. Ongoing administration concentrated on timekeeping configuration, manager approval workflows, and maintaining the payroll interface between UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper and PeopleSoft.
