| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2014 | 2015 |
In 2014, Novanta implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as an ERP Financial system to centralize product transactional data and support manufacturing and commercial operations. The deployment focused on integrating product master and lifecycle data between multiple Cloud Arena PLM workspaces and Oracle E-Business Suite using Triniti’s Arena PLM Adapter, establishing a synchronized master data flow between PLM and ERP.
The implementation instrumented product master objects in Oracle E-Business Suite including Items and Bills of Material, and extended attribute management for Product Revisions, Product Categories, BOM Designators, and Approved Manufacturers and Suppliers. Configuration emphasized cradle to grave lifecycle coverage from new product introduction through end of life, enforcement of user-defined business rules at each lifecycle stage, and standardization of master data maintenance via Engineering Change Orders and Manufacturing Change Orders.
Integration architecture connected six separate Arena PLM workspaces, one per business division, to Oracle E-Business Suite and routed transactional data into seven manufacturing organizations and four sales organizations based on workspace context. The Triniti PLM Adapter handled significant annual volumes including 40,000 engineering changes, 80,000 items, and 20,000 BOMs, and transferred compliance attributes such as Country of Origin, ECCN, and HTS Code. Operational error handling was implemented through automated alerts and emails, with exceptions managed by business users rather than IT.
Governance and process changes centered on decentralizing exceptions management, applying workspace-specific business rules, and aligning PLM controlled changes with Oracle E-Business Suite transactional records to satisfy requirements such as FDA mandated service life for discontinued items. Reported outcomes included increased collaboration across engineering, procurement, shop floor, planning, and sales, a single version of truth for Items and BOMs, greater downstream visibility and data consistency, streamlined master data maintenance in manufacturing and sales organizations, and maintaining product data that is timely, reliable, accurate, and complete. Challenges cited in the implementation included operational errors from parallel data maintenance in PLM and ERP, latency in data synchronization, and the need to implement custom business rules across different business units and product verticals.

| Cisco Systems | Legacy | Cisco Webex Meetings | Audio Video and Web Conferencing | Collaboration | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Novanta implemented Cisco Webex Meetings as its primary Audio Video and Web Conferencing solution. The deployment is surfaced on Novanta's public website, indicating web-embedded meeting access for external stakeholders and customers.
The Cisco Webex Meetings implementation centers on standard conferencing capabilities common to the Audio Video and Web Conferencing category, including scheduled and ad hoc meeting orchestration, HD video and audio, screen sharing, recording, and participant controls. Novanta uses Cisco Webex Meetings to support browser-based joins and native client connectivity for remote collaboration, aligning the application with both external customer interactions and internal collaboration across corporate functions.
Operationally, the presence of Cisco Webex Meetings on the website suggests integration of join links or meeting widgets into public-facing pages to facilitate visitor-initiated sessions and event access, while the application itself provides fallbacks such as PSTN dial-in and client application options. Novanta Cisco Webex Meetings Audio Video and Web Conferencing supports business functions including customer engagement, remote product reviews, and cross-site collaboration, with implementation focused on providing a consistent meeting experience for external and internal stakeholders.
