Serrala Legacy Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Novartis US implemented Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable as an AP Automation solution. The deployment supported Novartis Pharmaceuticals work under the Transitional Service Agreement with Elanco following the divestiture of the Animal Health US division, and was used to support fast paced month end close activities including preparation of journal entries, revenue recognition processes, and module reconciliations required for submission to corporate reporting. Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable was configured to automate core accounts payable workflows, including inbound invoice capture and validation, automated approval routing, exception management, payment scheduling and execution, and generation of AP journal entries for the general ledger. The implementation leveraged AP Automation functional patterns such as three way matching, vendor master synchronization, accrual accounting support, and configurable approval hierarchies to align with Novartis financial controls. The solution was integrated with Novartis financial systems explicitly referenced in systems knowledge, including SAP Dolphin Production P45 for transactional posting and master data, FCRS Web Collect for submission of consolidated financial results, and NPMR for product margin reporting inputs. Operational coverage focused on the US finance and accounting teams supporting the divested Animal Health business, and the system facilitated structured data handoffs required during the transition to Elanco reporting. Governance centered on the Transitional Service Agreement and structured knowledge transfer activities, Novartis developed a reconciliation model to map and reconcile Novartis financial reporting to Elanco reporting formats, and participated in knowledge transfer meetings to explain account mapping and reporting details. Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable served as the AP Automation backbone during the transition, supporting control, traceability, and the operational tasks needed to move accounting processes toward Elanco's reporting environment.

ADP Legacy ADP Enterprise eTIME (OEM Kronos Workforce Central) Time and Attendance HCM n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, Novartis US implemented ADP Enterprise eTIME (OEM Kronos Workforce Central) as its Time and Attendance solution to reproduce existing timekeeping, scheduling, and absence management workflows. The implementation integrated SAP ECC 6.0 HCM with ADP Enterprise eTIME to align HR master records, time data, and payroll-relevant information across systems. The project scope covered core Time and Attendance, Scheduling, and Absence Management capabilities, with a focused effort to capture complex pay policies, overtime calculations, and multiple wage rates. Deliverables included complete interface analysis and specifications, mapped As-Is and To-Be business requirements for attendance and pay policies by location, detailed report requirements, and conversion plans for time balances into the ADP environment. Architecturally the engagement defined a system topology that identified primary source and secondary systems, and established file layouts for uploads to ADP Enterprise eTIME. The integration design specified data extraction by ECC 6.0 HCM infotypes, documented data dependencies and load sequences, and created mapping rules to ensure data consistency between SAP and ADP Enterprise eTIME. Governance and operational readiness activities included defining service categories, HR master data validation rules, controlling dimensions such as cost center alignment, and setting parameters and controls to analyze master data client files prior to upload. The program also produced a testing strategy and a training strategy to support operational cutover and ongoing use of ADP Enterprise eTIME as the central Time and Attendance application for HR and payroll functions.
