In 2016, nThrive implemented SAP Concur Expense as its Expense Management solution. The implementation positioned SAP Concur Expense to handle employee travel and expense reimbursement workflows and centralized back office expense processing across finance and operations functions.
Configuration work centered on expense report submission and manager approval workflows within SAP Concur Expense, with dedicated staff serving as back office processors for expense reimbursement. Functional capabilities implemented included expense report review and approval routing, exception research and resolution for unpaid reimbursements, and user support processes for colleague T&E inquiries.
The SAP Concur Expense deployment operated alongside an Ariba system for vendor invoice entry and manager approval routing, creating a coordinated accounts payable and expense management model. Operational responsibilities explicitly included routinely monitoring Ariba process workflow to ensure timely processing, reconciling vendor statements, processing vendor payments weekly by checks, ACH, and wire, and providing vendor and operations support related to both Ariba and SAP Concur Expense.
Governance and workflow controls emphasized manager approval routing, ongoing workflow monitoring, documented procedures for researching and resolving unpaid vendor invoices and T&E reimbursement issues, and support for audit requests as needed. The implementation established clear operational boundaries between accounts payable processing in Ariba and employee reimbursement processing in SAP Concur Expense, with cross functional coordination between finance and operations.

From an operational perspective the solution is delivered through the iCIMS-hosted career portal interface, embedding job listings and application forms on nThrive's careers site while routing candidate records into iCIMS Recruit for tracking and reporting. Governance concentrated on standardizing recruitment process controls across talent acquisition and HR recruiting teams, formalizing requisition approvals and stage based candidate workflow management inside iCIMS Recruit.

Salesforce Field Service was configured to deliver core Field Service Management functionality, including advanced scheduling and dispatch, work order orchestration, mobile workforce access, and appointment management. Configuration work focused on aligning ShiftExpert scheduling workflows with role based access and management reporting needs, and on embedding service orchestration into existing Salesforce records and processes.
The implementation was integrated with internal learning and content systems, including nThrive Education powered by Moodle and SharePoint, and it touched Talent Acquisition tooling such as iCIMS to ensure training records, technical documentation, and role assignments remained synchronized with service roles. Operational coverage centered on management and technical resource groups, with the super-user fielding technical questions related to the scheduler and connected platforms.
Governance was structured around the super-user and trainer, who acted as the escalation point for scheduler, SharePoint, Moodle, and iCIMS inquiries and who delivered formal training for VP and management cohorts. Training and support workflows were institutionalized to sustain scheduling governance, platform adoption, and ongoing configuration refinement of Salesforce Field Service.
