In 2019 Nucor Corporation implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial solution, migrating core finance and transactional processes from Oracle E-Business Suite into a cloud native Financials, SCM and HCM R13 environment. The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation was paired with Oracle Integration Cloud, AICS, SOACS and Oracle SOA12c to provide an integration backbone between on premises applications and cloud services.
The functional deployment covered Oracle Cloud ERP finance capabilities including GL, AP, AR and bank account management, plus HCM modules for Core HR, absence management, goal and performance management, payroll related formulas and time and labor extracts. Configuration and conversion activities included chart of accounts import using FBDI, bulk invoice import using OIC Bulk Data Import processes, GL balance and transactional conversions for AP and AR, and use of HCM Data Loader for Core HR object migration.
The integration architecture centered on Oracle Integration Cloud and SOA12c, implementing inbound and outbound HCM file flows to third party FTP endpoints, OM to OTM and OTM to Oracle Cloud ERP shipping integrations, and Customs Filing via EDI from Transportation and Global Trade Management Cloud. Technical work included REST API automation for bank account and bank statement transaction rule management, data extracts from Oracle ERP Cloud Financials for payables, payments and journals, and data movement into Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud and EPM Cloud using Data Management.
Governance and operational responsibilities were held by technical cloud consultants who designed and developed integration components, managed the technical scope of cloud integrations, and worked with business partners to resolve support requests and training needs. Modules and prototypes used in POC and RFP activity included enterprise and work structure setup in Core HR, security roles and profiles, profile management, and development of HCM extracts and BI reports to satisfy HR and payroll reporting requirements.
Deliverables included a significant suite of integrations between on premises and cloud systems, bulk data load implementations, COA and transactional conversions, and development of FRS, SmartView and OTBI reports to support finance and HR operations. Oracle Cloud ERP served as Nucor Corporation ERP Financial platform for centralized finance and HR processing during the June 2019 to March 2021 implementation window.

Integration work was developed using Oracle ICS and SOA12c, delivering integrations such as Oracle Cloud ERP order management to OTM and OTM to Oracle Cloud ERP shipping interactions as documented. HCM Data Loader processes were used to load Oracle eBiz data into HCM Fusion, and PaaS integration developments were implemented to support asynchronous data movement. Reporting and analytics deliverables included design and development of custom BI reports, OTBI reports, and HCM Extracts to satisfy HR and Payroll reporting requirements.
Governance centered on role based security and profile management tied to HR operational workflows, with HCM extract driven reporting for payroll and HR operations. The implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management supported Absence and Leave Management business functions and established a platform for ongoing HR and payroll process orchestration.
