In 2019, NuScale Power implemented Onit SecureDocs as its Content Management solution to centralize and secure sales and proposal documentation. The deployment focused on supporting the front-end sales cycle and proposal management activities used by the Sales organization.
Onit SecureDocs was configured to operate as centralized SecureDocs libraries with role-based access controls, document lifecycle and version control, secure sharing and audit logging to support proposal development and customer communications. Configuration emphasized structured document repositories, controlled access for proposal managers and reviewers, and retention of auditable version history to maintain compliance during negotiations and contract preparation.
The SecureDocs implementation was integrated into the existing sales toolset, with explicit operational links to Salesforce.com and SharePoint instances that are administered by the Sales Support function. The Director, Sales Support serves as owner, administrator and super-user for Onit SecureDocs, coordinating the integration points that feed proposal metadata and customer correspondence into the content libraries, and enabling orderly hand-off to contract delivery teams.
Governance and process ownership were established under the Director, Sales Support role, who is responsible for implementation, continuous evolution of processes, policies and procedures, and acting as the consulting resource for sales-facing applications. These governance activities capture and track commercial endeavors from opportunity identification, qualification, proposal development including costing and pricing, through contract negotiation, contract execution and order entry, and then hand-off to delivery personnel.
