BatchMaster Software Legacy BatchMaster ERP Manufacturing ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Mel-O-Cream Donuts International implemented BatchMaster ERP from BatchMaster Software, using the Manufacturing ERP to standardize production, inventory and quality processes at its Springfield, Illinois facility. The deployment was scoped to the company's production and operations functions within a single 30,000 square foot manufacturing plant, covering production supervisors, the production manager, maintenance, quality, and procurement teams. The BatchMaster ERP implementation configured core manufacturing modules including batch and recipe management, production scheduling and shop-floor control, inventory and lot traceability, quality management, and maintenance planning. Configuration emphasized electronic batch records, formula and version control, material lot tracking, and shop-floor data capture to support mixing, cutting, shaping, filling, glazing and icing workflows common in high-volume bakery operations. The project centralized transactional workflows for production and inventory, aligning production planning with materials control and procurement processes to reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets. User roles were provisioned for supervisors and operators, enabling shop-floor entry and supervisory approvals while surfacing quality checkpoints and traceability data for audits and inspections. Rollout included role-based training for production supervisors and shop-floor operators, revision of standard operating procedures to reflect system-enforced batch and quality controls, and governance for recipe change management and quality specification updates. The implementation focused on operationalizing manufacturing processes across production, maintenance and quality teams to create a single source of manufacturing truth.
