ESI ProCAST configuration emphasized mold filling and solidification modeling, porosity and shrinkage prediction, thermal history analysis, and virtual process optimization consistent with casting simulation workflows. The implementation included setup of material databases, mesh preparation routines, and batch simulation orchestration to support iterative design evaluation. Integration work included linking ESI ProCAST to PTC Creo CAD to streamline geometry import and gating updates, enabling engineers to iterate designs directly from CAD models. The technical architecture combined engineering workstations with a centralized simulation node and a shared project repository to manage case files, simulation results, and version control for model data. Rollout was staged across Rovereto engineering and foundry process engineering teams with defined validation checkpoints and documented simulation procedures to govern usage.
