The implementation positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to serve as the core financial ledger and controlling environment for OMV Group, establishing the authoritative chart of accounts and central financial posting architecture. The deployment emphasized standard SAP ERP Financial capabilities, including Financial Accounting modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Treasury, and Controlling cost and profit center accounting. Configuration work focused on corporate chart of accounts harmonization, statutory and management reporting structures, period end close sequencing, and master data governance for vendors, customers, and fixed assets. SAP Legacy SAP HCM (HR) Core HR HCM n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, OMV Group implemented SAP HCM (HR) in the Core HR category, deploying SAP SuccessFactors modules for Goals & Performance, Succession, and Competence Management alongside the SAP HCM PA module. The deployment positioned SAP HCM (HR) as the central personnel administration and reporting backbone while SuccessFactors provided cloud-native talent management capabilities. The implementation included administration of SAP SuccessFactors modules and execution of recurring process cycles for Performance Management, Succession Planning, Skill Pool Management, and Recognition. SAP HCM was used for the PA module, ad-hoc reports, and Query Manager to support transactional HR records and reporting, while JobPts (Semos) was used as an additional platform supporting recognition processes. Cognite Legacy Cognite InField Asset Performance Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, OMV Group implemented Cognite InField as part of an Asset Performance Management deployment using Industrial DataOps software. The deployment used Cognite Data Fusion and Cognite Remote to establish a remote industrial asset integrity management solution for OMV Group. The implementation focused on remote asset integrity management capabilities, combining condition monitoring, anomaly detection, contextualized time series, and operational analytics typical of Asset Performance Management workflows. Cognite InField was configured to surface asset integrity risks and support structured risk identification and mitigation workflows, enabling earlier intervention before incidents escalate. Operational architecture centralized OT and sensor data through Cognite Remote and fused that data in Cognite Data Fusion for use by operations and maintenance functions. The solution oriented data feeds toward maintenance planning and integrity engineering, providing visualizations and decision support that link field measurements to work planning and lifecycle tracking. Governance and workflow changes emphasized cross-functional use by asset integrity, operations, and maintenance teams to drive more cost-efficient asset life cycles. The OMV Group deployment enabled the company to identify and reduce asset integrity risks before they escalate, and it is reported to cut planning time by 25 percent, reduce operating expenses by 50 percent, and help lower the companys environmental footprint.
