HCL Technologies Legacy HCL Unica Campaign Account Based Marketing CRM n/a 2015 2015 In 2015, OptumRx implemented HCL Unica Campaign to support Account Based Marketing and centralized campaign orchestration across its marketing and data operations. The deployment used HCL Technologies HCL Unica Campaign as the application platform and emphasized flow chart driven campaign design and audience segmentation for targeted outreach. Implementation work focused on designing and creating HCL Unica Campaign flow charts and reusable flow chart templates for different initiatives and channels. Flow charts were automated using user variables, derived fields, custom macros and triggers, and different audience levels were defined to ensure data processed according to each flow chart’s logic. The campaign mart schema was designed and updated to accommodate flow chart execution requirements and the campaign catalog was maintained on a regular cadence. The solution integrated IBM Cognos for reporting and validation, with IBM Cognos installed and configured on Linux and connected to an Oracle database. SQL was used extensively for data validation and integrity checks, and SQL quality control processes were automated to verify data before campaign file deployment. Excel was used to produce campaign data counts and waterfall reports to support operational checks. Operational governance included tuning flow charts through load balancing, process box re arrangement and In DB processing to improve execution, and establishing automated SQL QC to gate file deployments. End user training was delivered to campaign and data teams on HCL Unica Campaign and flow chart best practices to standardize design patterns and ensure consistent campaign operations.
