In 2020, Origin Enterprises implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. The deployment targeted group finance and consolidation, categorized as ERP Financial, and focused on standardizing head office finance processes across business units.

Integration efforts supported group consolidation feeds from SAP BPC into the new consolidation process and encompassed roll-out activity for Group Head Office companies. Operational coverage emphasized finance and consolidation teams at head office, with finance acting as subject matter experts for chart of accounts alignment across business units. The implementation included end user support at go live to stabilize reporting and transaction processing.
Program governance adhered to PMO guidelines, with as-is and to-be process documentation, solution modelling workshops, and functional solutions review cycles. The team produced detailed report specifications and delivered over 70 Financial Reporter reports within one and a half months, followed by sign-off and bug testing. Reporting acceptance criteria and ongoing support processes were established to sustain the finance organization post go live.

Operational coverage extended to agronomy, fertiliser and feed ingredient business functions and supported supply chain, operations and commercial teams across the three regions. To-Increase RapidValue was implemented alongside Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 as the transactional and ERP backbone supplied by Columbus IT, enabling the BPM layer to reference production and distribution transactions and project management workflows.
Governance and rollout were conducted by Columbus IT's UK & Ireland division in collaboration with Origin staff, with phased implementation, consultancy and training to embed standardized processes across sites. Origin reported that the new solution helps support its growth strategy and enables improvements in how work is performed, generating value for employees, customers and partners.
