| Workday | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2024 | 2025 |
In 2024 Mass General Brigham implemented Workday HCM to consolidate Core HR across its enterprise. The deployment replaced Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and targeted centralization of workforce records, position management, and HR business processes across the health system servicing approximately 82,000 employees.
The implementation configured Workday HCM to deliver Core HR capabilities including employee records, position and organization management, benefits administration, absence and time tracking, and talent profile management. The Workday HCM application was configured using HR business process framework and role based security to support compliance and auditability common to large healthcare employers.
Integration work followed standard enterprise interoperability patterns, synchronizing Workday HCM with payroll feeds, identity management and single sign on, learning management and downstream finance and clinical staffing feeds. Data migration and record consolidation were executed from Oracle PeopleSoft HCM into Workday HCM with a phased cutover approach to reduce operational disruption across HR, payroll, talent and benefits operations.
Governance shifted toward a centralized HRIS application team with formalized data governance, security role provisioning, and standardized HR workflows, supported by phased rollouts and targeted training for HR business users and local service centers. LinkedIn traces show continuity of internal HRIS expertise into the Workday HCM Application Team beginning January 2025, indicating an internal support and configuration model for ongoing operations.
