In 2022, PepsiCo Mexico deployed SAP S/4 HANA to establish ERP Financial coverage for Order to Cash and Accounts Receivable operations across its Mexican business. The initiative was aligned to the PepsiCo Global template and PBNA deployment efforts, with a Deployment Coordinator role focused on embedding Order to Cash functionality into the new SAP S/4 HANA environment.
The implementation covered explicit functional modules including Order and Contract Management, Pricing, Rebates and Free Goods, Direct Store Delivery DSD models, Transportation and Logistics, and Accounts Receivable. Core OTC workflows configured in SAP S/4 HANA included order capture and management, pricing agreements such as on-invoice and off-invoice discounts, free goods, list price and surcharge handling, freight and tax calculation, rebate agreements and customer bill backs, and returns and inbound product receipts. Master data governance workstreams were defined for business partner and customer hierarchy objects to support consistent pricing and settlement.
Integrations were scoped to connect SAP S/4 HANA with front line mobility solutions for Van Sales and other DSD GTM models, and with warehouse systems and advanced transportation systems for palletization, route planning and load building. Operational coverage emphasized picking, packing, shipping and delivery processes plus settlement flows for customer and stock transport orders, with route accounting and settlement capabilities for van sales, pre sales, pre order and vending channels.
Governance and delivery adopted PepsiCo Agile Methodology PAM, using sprint planning, retrospectives and cross-functional scrum teams with onshore and offshore members to maintain a prioritized product backlog. The Deployment Coordinator role partnered with Order to Cash Global Process Owners and Solution Design Leads, and collaborated with RTR, PTP, MTD, FP&A, FTS and HTR value stream teams to align RICEFs and end-to-end solution design.
