In 2022, Pernod Ricard deployed Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as its ERP Financial platform running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, implemented as part of the company’s broader multicloud strategy. The project positions Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to consolidate core financial processing across Pernod Ricard’s global finance organization while leveraging OCI infrastructure services for compute, storage, and networking.
The implementation centers on standard ERP Financial functional modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and financial reporting and close orchestration. Configuration work emphasized multi-ledger support, a harmonized chart of accounts, and period close automation consistent with financial governance and statutory reporting requirements.
Operationally the JD Edwards deployment is hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and integrated into Pernod Ricard’s multicloud operating model, enabling the application to consume OCI platform services and align with cloud security controls. The scope targets corporate and shared services finance processes, centralizing transactional finance workloads and consolidating financial data for reporting.
Governance reforms accompany the rollout to standardize financial workflows and controls, with role-based access, audit trail instrumentation, and formal change control for configuration updates. The program architecture reflects a cloud-first ERP Financial posture, where Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provides the core system of record for finance while running within Pernod Ricard’s multicloud infrastructure strategy.

| Frontier Software | Legacy | Frontier Software HR21 | Employee Self Service | HCM | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010 Pernod Ricard implemented Frontier Software HR21 at its New Zealand operations in Papakura, Auckland to support HR and payroll self service. The deployment centered on local payroll administration for Pernod Ricard New Zealand while payroll execution was outsourced to an Australian payroll provider, with in-house teams retaining system administration and oversight.
Frontier Software HR21 was configured as an Employee Self Service platform to handle payroll processing workflows, executive reporting, PAYE and IRD filing, and statistic reporting. Configuration and operational responsibilities included system administration, SME support, HR21 training for managers, and targeted system improvements to improve processing efficiency.
Operational integration points referenced in the implementation included CHRIS21 as an HR information source and HRConnect as an administrative tool, with reconciliations and reporting tied to ACC, IRD, Southern Cross and finance processes. Payroll transaction flows were coordinated with the outsourced Australian payroll provider and reconciled against statutory and corporate finance systems.
Governance was anchored by a named Payroll Manager who acted as SME and system administrator, managed one direct report, led testing and implementation activities, and drove process streamlining. Documented outcomes from the implementation included successful testing and deployment of HR21, a full payroll system audit and corrective backpays, consolidation of multiple weekly payruns into a single weekly payrun, and a reduction in administrative headcount through process improvements.

In 2022, Pernod Ricard implemented SAP Concur Travel as part of a Travel Management initiative to harmonise travel and expense management across the group. The deployment responded to a need for consistent global T&E processes after significant expansion, with vendor SAP Concur selected for its flexibility and configurability.
The implementation encompassed SAP Concur Travel and SAP Concur Expense, and delivered a global core model with standardized processes while accommodating localisation and multiple languages. Requirements gathering, detailed design, and phase 1 implementation covered two countries, France and the UK, and six Pernod Ricard organisations, executed with support from SAP Concur and Arago Consulting.
Operational integration emphasized finance connectivity and agile T&E workflows, with explicit integrations implemented to Oracle JDE and Workday systems to ensure transactional and master data flows between travel bookings, expense reports, and financial ledgers. The single system approach centralized travel booking, expense capture, approvals, and reporting under the Travel Management platform to simplify end-user workflows and accounting reconciliations.
Governance and process change established a harmonised global posture for T&E, standardizing policy enforcement, expense reporting quality, and dashboarding for group visibility. Reported benefits include significant progress in digitising the workplace, a single system for managing all T&E processes, time savings for end-users, managers and accounting teams, improved regulatory compliance, improved T&E reporting, and efficient and complete integration with Oracle JDE and Workday systems.
