The configuration extended into onboarding workflows and candidate status tracking, and was used to maintain EEO files and ensure EEO policies and procedures were followed. Operational use of Sterling Background Check was coordinated with existing HR platforms and hiring processes, with Retail Managers and HR Business Partners trained on related systems such as E-Verify, Fusion, TalentWise and Taleo to support job postings, applicant tracking and recruitment plans. The scope included administrative HR support for retail managers, recruitment execution and maintenance of screening records. Governance emphasized consistent policy application, documented adverse action handling and submission of EEO reports, supported by training materials including video training for managers to follow screening and onboarding steps. Sterling Background Check served as the primary BackGround Screening application within Perry Ellis Internationals HR hiring and compliance workflows.

The project advanced a migration to the latest Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service to align POS transaction streams with the Customer Engagement profile and merchandising operations. Integration work was executed with support from BTM Global, providing functional and technical design, custom integration points, interface development, testing, and training. Program governance was led by PEI IT leadership with executive sponsorship and rigorous testing cycles, leveraging prior Customer Engagement work that produced a 360 degree view of over 1 million customers in under seven weeks. Perry Ellis International used Oracle Retail Point of Service as its Point Of Sale to operationalize omnichannel-store functions, tying associate-assisted sales, loyalty management, and ecommerce touchpoints into a unified in-store customer experience.
