In 2017, Perry Ellis implemented Browzwear Design in the 2D/3D Simulation category to digitalize design, fit validation and merchandising workflows. The deployment incorporated Browzwear's VStitcher and Lotta platforms as the primary authoring and merchandising tools for US-centered product design and merchandising operations.
VStitcher was configured as the 3D design and virtual fitting engine, enabling digital sampling and fit validation workflows, while Lotta managed digital merchandising assets and line review visualizations. Functional capabilities implemented included virtual garment simulation, fit approval workflows, and digital asset handoff between design and merchandising, aligned to product development and merchandising processes.
The rollout targeted Perry Ellis product design, technical design and merchandising teams across the United States, streamlining cross-team collaboration and shortening fit approval cycles. The implementation delivered reported sample budget savings with a 50 to 75% reduction in physical salesman samples and faster fit approvals, documenting operational benefits to design and merchandising workflows.

In 2014 Perry Ellis implemented Oracle Retail Allocation in the Allocation and Replenishment category to standardize inventory distribution across its multi-brand retail and e-commerce footprint. Oracle Retail Allocation was deployed to support Perry Ellis®, An Original Penguin by Munsingwear®, and Cubavera® operations, aligning store-level allocation with omni-channel fulfillment needs across owned retail stores and online channels.
The implementation configured Oracle Retail Allocation for core allocation and replenishment workflows, including store-level allocation rules, inter-store transfers, seasonality-driven allocation prioritization, and merchandise hierarchy-based allocation planning. Configuration work emphasized rule engines and planning horizons typical of Allocation and Replenishment solutions, with automation of allocation runs and exception handling to streamline merchandise flow.
Architecturally the deployment was integrated into PEI’s broader Oracle Retail landscape, interoperating with Oracle Retail Merchandising System, Oracle Retail Price Management, Oracle Retail Sales Audit, Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management, Oracle Retail Point of Service, and Oracle Retail Central Office. The implementation roadmap also accounted for integration with Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service as PEI migrated to the latest point-of-service release, enabling tighter data flows between allocation decisions and in-store inventory and sales events.
Governance and rollout were led by PEI IT leadership with executive sponsorship and rigorous testing cycles, supported by BTM Global as the systems integrator. BTM Global provided functional and technical design, custom integration points, interface design, development and testing, scripting, and training. PEI’s earlier six month upgrade of Oracle Retail Merchandise Operations Management with BTM Global yielded operational efficiencies that informed the Allocation deployment decision.
