In 2008, PFA Pension selected Edlund as its new core IT supplier and implemented Edlund LIFELINK for Insurance Policy Administration. The selection was made in March 2008 and the program used Edlund's Liv.Net Edlund platform to deliver the PFA Plus product, with the new product and platform going live in 2009.
The implementation centered on Edlund LIFELINK family life and pension administration capabilities, configured to support product definition and end-to-end policy lifecycle for the PFA Plus offering. Functional modules implemented included core policy administration, product configuration, customer and adviser online engagement capabilities, and automated back-office policy servicing workflows aligned with Insurance Policy Administration practices.
Deployment used the Edlund platform to expose online customer and advice capabilities directly from the administration core, establishing integrations between the administration system and digital channels for customer self-service and adviser tools. Governance was executed as a strategic core IT supplier engagement with a phased rollout aligned to the PFA Plus launch in 2009, and operational coverage focused on PFA Pension's customer-facing products and advice channels.
