In 2018, Plantronics implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform to consolidate and standardize financial processes following the acquisition of Polycom. The engagement focused on end-to-end Oracle Financials in an Oracle R12 environment to unify Order to Cash and Procure to Pay cycles across the combined organization.
Configuration work included setup and testing of core financial modules, specifically Accounts Receivable, Order Management, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and General Ledger. Revenue accounting was designed using RevPro in conjunction with Oracle E-Business Suite, custom Sub‑Ledger Accounting rules were created and tested, and AR global credit checks and payment terms mapping were configured to align the two companies.
Integration and data migration activities were documented through an Integration Requirements document and an implementation roadmap developed with project stakeholders and product owners. Data conversion and migration moved Polycom transactions into Plantronics Oracle Financial Modules, RICEW objects were delivered for Order to Cash workflows, and reporting was implemented via Oracle standard reports, EIS and PL/SQL custom reports.
Governance and rollout included creation of functional test scripts and coordination of Smoke Testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing, with defect management handled through ServiceNow. The team managed Service Requests with Oracle support during deployment and provided functional post go-live support and hyper care for Procure to Pay and Accounts Receivable during warranty close.
The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment served as the ERP Financial backbone to combine Plantronics and Polycom financial operations, embedding configuration, form personalization with Descriptive Flex Fields, purchase order template alignment and custom reporting to support consolidated financial governance and operational continuity.

| Workday | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2010 | 2018 |
In 2010, Plantronics implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR system, replacing Oracle PeopleSoft HCM. The deployment established Workday HCM as the central HR record for the company and addressed foundational personnel data management for its global workforce.
The implementation included configuration and a managed global job profile restructure process to standardize role definitions, job families, and reporting relationships within Workday HCM. Workday HCM was configured to centralize worker master data, with explicit focus on Worker History and Emergency Contacts to improve record completeness and consistency.
Plantronics created Enterprise Interface Builder EIB integrations to load Worker History and Emergency Contacts into Workday HCM, implementing batch data ingest and validation routines to migrate historical HR records into the new Core HR environment. The EIBs acted as the primary data ingestion mechanism from existing HR data stores into Workday HCM and supported repeatable bulk loads for ongoing data management.
Governance and operational workflows were revised to support the new job profile architecture and data load processes, introducing controlled configuration workflows and stakeholder approvals for profile changes. The program oriented HR operations around Workday Core HR for centralized data stewardship and lifecycle management of worker records.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2016 | 2018 |
In 2016, Plantronics implemented Microsoft Power BI as part of an Analytics and BI prototyping initiative. The program developed prototypes using MS Access, SQL Server 2016, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Power BI and SSRS to evaluate reporting, visualization and reporting architecture choices.
Prototypes emphasized standard Analytics and BI workflows including data ingestion from relational sources, staging and data modeling, and interactive dashboarding with Microsoft Power BI. SSRS was executed in parallel for paginated and operational reporting, while SQL Server 2016 and PostgreSQL served as primary data stores and MS Access supported lightweight extracts and ad hoc data preparation.
Architecturally the work established a multi source reporting fabric where Microsoft Power BI connected to modeled datasets for semantic reporting, and SSRS consumed the same relational sources for row level and paginated output. Integration focus was explicitly on connectivity to SQL Server 2016 and PostgreSQL and on consolidating reporting logic to support common metrics and shared data models.
Governance followed a prototype validation and iterative rollout pattern, with analytics teams authoring Power BI reports and report authors maintaining SSRS definitions to align formatting and distribution requirements. The engagement positioned Microsoft Power BI within Plantronics Analytics and BI capability stack to support enterprise reporting and analytics functions through centralized semantic models and decentralized report creation.
