| AFAS Software | Legacy | AFAS Profit | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Pon implemented AFAS Profit as its ERP Financial system. Pon is a Netherlands based automotive group with approximately 15,700 employees and reported revenue of 10,824,000,000, and AFAS Profit was deployed to standardize core financial operations across its corporate finance and accounting teams.
AFAS Profit was configured to deliver core ERP Financial functionality including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, cash management, statutory reporting and tax compliance, alongside workflow-driven approval and period close automation consistent with enterprise financial controls. Implementation work focused on modular configuration and process alignment for month end close and accounts reconciliation, leveraging AFAS Profit financial reporting capabilities to consolidate bookkeeping and statutory outputs.
Operational ownership is consolidated under an Application Manager who is responsible for Troux, Afas/Profit, Topdesk, Mavim and the PON Identity Solution, creating a single governance locus for application lifecycle and change control. AFAS Profit was packaged via Thinapp for RES and Powerfuse on Citrix to support delivery into the Citrix application estate, and incident and request handling was coordinated through Topdesk as part of IT service workflows.
Governance was structured around application management, packaging and controlled rollout of updates, with the Application Manager orchestrating configuration changes, packaging tasks for Citrix deployment and service desk coordination to support finance and IT stakeholders. The narrative centers on AFAS Profit as Pon’s ERP Financial platform, its functional configuration, and the integration into Pon’s application management and Citrix packaging practices.

In 2017, Pon implemented Benify Benefits in a pilot deployment to centralize employee benefits communication and enrollment within its HR organization in the Netherlands. The initiative followed internal HR project activity led by Pon HR Business Partner and HR Project Manager during 2016 to 2017, which included design of the Benify portal as a pilot. Benify Benefits was positioned as the primary application for Benefits Administration across Pon’s HR programs.
The Benify Benefits implementation emphasized employee self service through an employee portal, a configurable benefits catalog, lifecycle event driven enrollment, and workflow based approval of elections. Configuration work focused on eligibility rules, enrollment periods, and administrative user management to support HR administrators and HR Business Partners. The deployment aligned functionality to common Benefits Administration workflows such as open enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefit communications.
Project governance was managed through Pon HR project management and tied into Pon wide HR activities including Pon HR day and employer branding initiatives, with the pilot outcome informing subsequent HR communications and rollout planning. Operational scope concentrated on HR and employee communications functions across Pon in the Netherlands, with the HR Business Partner coordinating stakeholder engagement and rollout design.
