In 2011 Portescap India implemented Oracle E-Business Suite for ERP Financial. The program targeted finance and accounting operations across Portescap India with coordination across Europe and Asia Pacific operating units, establishing a centralized Oracle E-Business Suite Financials footprint for AP, AR, GL, FA, CM, ADI and Costing modules.
Oracle E-Business Suite Financials configuration included accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, cash management, Web ADI integration and costing, with a Web ADI project rolled out to EU and AP sites in 2011 and new FSG report deployments for Asia Pacific operating units. The implementation also documented As-Is and To-Be processes for Payment Automation with HSBC Bank and Bank Statement Automation with CITI Bank, and implemented a credit limit control process for all customers in Portescap India.
Integrations focused on interfacing Oracle E-Business Suite Financials with existing external financial interfaces and resolving interface discrepancies during cutover. The delivery included end-to-end business and functional testing, setup for conference room pilot and user acceptance testing cycles, and coordination of Super Users across Oracle Financials and Oracle Costing to stabilize interfaces and accounting flows.
Governance and rollout activities were driven by functional specifications and process documentation, including preparation of CR10 functional documents for Web ADI, SOP documents for all operating units in Europe and Asia, allocation of technical and functional resources, scheduled reviews with business heads and CFOs, and Super User and end user training delivered via Webex.
