In 2009, PostNord implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was provisioned as an ERP Financial platform to centralize sales administration and financial recordkeeping across the distribution organization headquartered in Sweden, covering transactional flows used by a roughly 30,000 employee operation.
The implementation emphasized modules and configuration aligned with sales administration and finance, including customer master management, contract and order management, pricing and condition techniques, accounts receivable and general ledger posting rules. Configuration work focused on pricing procedures and condition records to manage rates and conditions for services, and on contract lifecycle support to capture new business terms and renewals. Transactional templates and authorization roles were defined to ensure consistent order entry and billing handoffs.
Integration architecture coordinated SAP CRM with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 so that front-office customer updates, contract entries and order records were exchanged with the ERP Financial core for billing and financial posting. Interfaces were designed to synchronize customer master data, contract terms and pricing condition sets between SAP CRM and SAP ERP ECC 6.0, supporting end-to-end order to cash workflows used by sales administration and finance. Operational coverage included sales administration teams and finance groups responsible for invoicing and collections within the distribution business.
