In 2015, Premier Inc implemented PeopleFluent HCM as part of a broader vendor and contingent workforce initiative, aligning the Core HR application with vendor management objectives. The deployment positioned PeopleFluent HCM to serve Core HR and contingent workforce functions, pairing core human capital management capabilities with a dedicated Vendor Management System implementation.
The implementation combined S3 MSP with PeopleFluent deployed as the selected Vendor Management System, centralizing vendor and contractor records into a single authoritative repository. PeopleFluent HCM was configured to manage worker profilers, contractor status and lifecycle attributes, and HR administration workflows typical of Core HR systems to support contingent labor orchestration.
Architecturally the program created a linkage between the S3 MSP layer and the PeopleFluent VMS instance to consolidate supplier and contractor data, enabling a single-source operational view for contingent needs. Operational scope targeted contingent workforce management and the intersecting HR and procurement processes, creating a centralized data resource used across those business functions.
Governance changes emphasized standardized vendor and contractor data capture, a unified repository model for contingent staffing, and workflow alignment between MSP and Core HR teams. The stated outcome of the program was the centralization of Premier Inc s vendor and contractor data, creating a central resource for all contingent needs.
