In 2012, Primex Farms implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment emphasized core financial management and order handling, with explicit configuration to add orders to NAVISION as part of the order-to-cash workflow.
The Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementation focused on financial ledgers, accounts receivable and payable, and order processing capabilities consistent with ERP Financial deployments. System configuration included order entry templates, invoice posting rules, and inventory costing linkages to ensure financial transactions flow from sales orders into the general ledger.
Operational coverage extended across Primex Farms manufacturing and distribution operations, impacting finance, sales order processing, and warehouse functions. Integrations were limited to in-application order ingestion and internal inventory accounting touchpoints, with workflows orchestrated to ensure newly created orders are recorded in NAVISION and trigger downstream financial postings.
Governance changes oriented around standardized order-entry procedures, role based access controls for finance and sales users, and tightened period close workflows to align operational order data with fiscal reporting in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Documentation and process controls were implemented to ensure consistent addition of orders to NAVISION and maintain auditability within the ERP Financial environment.

In 2017, Primex Farms implemented UKG Ready Payroll (ex Kronos Workforce Ready Payroll) to manage core Payroll operations for its manufacturing workforce in Wasco, CA. The deployment covered payroll processing for approximately 500 employees and centralized functions such as pay calculation, tax withholding workflows, statutory reporting, and payroll record maintenance to support site-level payroll administration.
UKG Ready Payroll was configured to support end-to-end payroll processing, quality assurance review cycles, audit documentation, and payroll reporting consistent with payroll best practices. The implementation emphasized role-based payroll administration, with a certified Payroll Supervisor overseeing data entry, payroll calculations, reconciliation, exception handling, and generation of management payroll reports.
Operational integration emphasized close alignment with Kronos workforce processes, reflecting the Payroll Supervisor requirement for extensive knowledge of the KRONOS system. Day-to-day operations included coordination of time and payroll data flows, validation of payroll inputs, and support for internal and external payroll audits, keeping employee pay, tax, and compliance records synchronized.
Governance was structured around a centralized payroll team led by a CPP certified Payroll Supervisor, responsible for supervising payroll administrators, enforcing compliance with federal and state payroll regulations, resolving payroll discrepancies, and driving process improvement initiatives. The configuration supported recurring audit readiness, controlled payroll change management, and standardized reporting workflows to maintain payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.

| Aptean | Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise | Aptean bcFood ERP | Food and Beverage ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Primex Farms upgraded to Aptean bcFood ERP from Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise. The deployment centralized trading, processing, production, logistics, and accounting onto a single Food and Beverage ERP platform to eliminate duplicated order entry between Primex International and Primex Farms and to align commercial and manufacturing data flows. The implementation extended an existing bcFood environment into the San Joaquin Valley processing site, putting core commercial and manufacturing functions onto one system for the companys export-focused operations.
Aptean bcFood ERP was configured with industry-specific modules including sales contract management, landed cost accounting, sales order processing, quality assurance attributes and real-time QA capture, inventory control with lot and container traceability, and production planning capabilities. The solutions sales contract functionality linked contracts to sales orders to provide visibility into fulfillment against agreed quantities and pricing. Users also leveraged bcFoods landed cost features to attach freight and related costs to sales lines, improving product cost visibility within the ERP.
The implementation used the Microsoft Dynamics ERP foundation that bcFood is built on, and operational integration points included the migration of document generation from Word and Excel into bcFoods style sheets module, and a planned migration of grower payment data from a Microsoft Access database into bcFoods built-in grower accounting component. Transactional flows were restructured so sales orders entered by the trading organization became visible to logistics and production teams in real time, and inventory movements from bins to production areas were recorded live to maintain accurate on-hand and lot location data.
Governance followed a train the trainer model with designated key users within production and accounting assuming ongoing training and ownership of configuration and procedures. The 2017 upgrade followed an established upgrade path, completed on time and on budget, and was released into production ahead of peak harvest season. As an outcome of the deployment Primex reported immediate access to live operational data, elimination of the previous 12 hour data lag, stronger inventory accuracy and traceability, and improved scheduling alignment between sales and plant processing, with plans to retire the remaining Access-based grower payments process by migrating it into Aptean bcFood ERP.
