In 2024 Qatar National Bank implemented Coupa Invoice as its AP Automation solution, initiating a broader Coupa Software deployment to digitize procurement and finance operations. The Coupa Invoice implementation is part of a unified Coupa platform rollout intended to provide QNB with complete visibility and control over spend in a single system.
The deployment emphasizes AP Automation capabilities around electronic invoicing, invoice workflow orchestration, and invoice-to-pay automation, while the wider Coupa configuration includes sourcing, procurement, contract and supplier management, and risk management modules. Coupa Invoice is positioned to eliminate manual and paper-based accounts payable processes through configurable workflows, supplier-facing usability, and AI driven data visibility for finance and procurement teams.
Operational coverage begins in Qatar with an explicit scale plan into 12 additional markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, the UK, and France, and impacts group procurement and finance functions across those regions. The implementation targets centralized spend control and real-time finance data access to support working capital decision making and to enable the bank to operate at scale.
Governance and process restructuring are centered on a single system of record for spend, with configurable controls and supplier management processes to standardize approvals and risk checks. The narrative asserts increased finance visibility and operational control as outcomes, without quantified metrics, reflecting QNB and Coupa expectations for the AP Automation implementation.

In 2013, Qatar National Bank implemented Civica Agylia LMS in a Learning and Development deployment to underpin its Global Induction Programme. The implementation was scoped as a bank wide induction solution for new employees, positioned as a high profile initiative led by the Head of Learning & Development. Stuart Evans, Head of Learning & Development at QNB, described a rigorous evaluation process and selected Agylia because of its history delivering major learning programmes to large enterprises.
The technical design combined a highly interactive 3D graphical user interface that utilised augmented reality as the front end, with Civica Agylia LMS provided to host and manage the learning content. Multiple learning assets were strategically embedded within the 3D interface, including HTML5 based eLearning courses, descriptive text and PDF documents, assessments, and rich media elements such as images and videos. Video elements included interviews with key members of the bank to introduce their roles and reinforce strategic messaging.
The deployment emphasized content orchestration and learner experience, using Civica Agylia LMS to manage course delivery, assessment tracking, and rich media playback within the AR enabled interface. Operational coverage targeted onboarding and induction activities within Learning and Development, with rollout governance driven by QNB L&D leadership and a structured vendor evaluation. The stated objective was to capture the imagination of new employees and deliver a memorable induction experience through an immersive interface design.

In 2019, Qatar National Bank implemented Temenos Infinity as its Digital Banking platform. The deployment established a unified digital channels layer and was positioned to support Mobile and Internet Banking, content management services, B2B services, branch automation, and a digital wallet stack.
Temenos Infinity was configured alongside Temenos Mobile Fabric and hosted on a VMware based Linux infrastructure, with application runtime provided by WebLogic application servers and fronted by Apache reverse proxy servers. Functional capabilities focused on customer digital channels and API driven access for mobile and web, with configuration and administration workstreams aligned to WebLogic, Apache, and Bash based operational tooling.
Operational coverage included 24x7 support and project delivery for more than 300 virtual machines, with on-site operations in Doha supporting Mobile and Internet Banking, CMS, B2B services, Branch Automation and Digital Wallet business functions. The technical environment required continuous configuration management, virtualization orchestration on VMware, and application server administration to sustain channel availability.
Governance centered on a dedicated Linux and configuration support function responsible for release coordination, system administration, and round the clock incident handling, with workflows organized to manage platform configuration, monitoring, and change control across channel teams. Temenos Infinity remained the central Digital Banking application governing customer channel delivery and operational support practices at Qatar National Bank.
