The deployment was part of a coordinated go-live support effort that placed Absence and Leave Management alongside Core HR capabilities to standardize time off and leave processes across the organization.
Configuration work focused on Workday Absence Management and adjacent modules, including Core including Business Processes, Benefits, Absence & Time, and Security / Authorizations. Implementation activities included business process mapping for absence requests and approvals, configuration of leave policies and accruals, role-based authorizations, and the establishment of time-off workflows and exception handling consistent with enterprise HR process controls.
Operational integration emphasized alignment with HR and IT runbooks and supported tooling for incident, change, and compliance processes, with close cooperation across HR and IT teams globally. The project integrated Workday Absence Management into existing HR operational tooling and incident/change management processes to ensure operational readiness and ongoing supportability.
Governance and rollout governance included establishing incident, change, and compliance processes and applying Agile delivery practices to sustain the solution. A Workday Solution Specialist and Scrum Master supported the Reporting Squad and Product Owners, guiding Agile maturity, driving business analysis for end-to-end Workday solutions, and embedding security and authorization controls into Absence and Leave Management workflows.

Adesso encapsulated format-specific functionality within a dedicated payment and reporting gateway, because using an Indian provider to present European transaction formats presented a challenge. The gateway centralizes routing and performs country-specific format conversion, isolating message translation from Oracle Flexcube and enabling uniform inbound and outbound transaction handling.
The architectural pattern positioned Oracle Flexcube as the core ledger and transaction engine, integrated with the payment and reporting gateway that handles routing and format conversion for each country. Functional emphasis included payments orchestration, reporting feeds and transaction routing, with the gateway protecting the core banking layer from regional format variance.
Adesso acted as the implementation partner and staffed multiple delivery roles across project phases, including Project Manager, Business Analyst, Test Manager, Architect and Developer, providing program governance and execution. The rollout approach prioritized encapsulation of format transformation and centralized routing to address the challenge of cross-regional transaction formats while enabling Oracle Flexcube to serve Core Banking functions.
