| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010 Redington Gulf FZE undertook a region-wide re-implementation of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 for ERP Financial coverage, executing Enhancement Package 6.0 across the Middle East, Africa & CIS region to consolidate finance and sales processes across 25 legal entities in 15 countries. The program was led with senior SAP FICO consultancy embedded in the project team and focused on centralizing core ERP Financial functionality while aligning configuration to multi-entity accounting and statutory reporting needs.
The implementation scope included SAP Receivables Management implemented specifically for CCD, Credit Collections and Dispute Management, SAP Vistex deployed as the master data maintenance and rebates management tool, and the introduction of the Incentives and Paybacks IP module of Vistex for the IT Distribution line of business. SAP CRM Sales was implemented for regional commercial operations, and SAP ERP ECC 6.0 served as the transactional backbone for general ledger, payables, receivables, and credit management workflows.
Deployment and rollout activity extended beyond the re-implementation, with SAP rollouts carried out from June 2010 to April 2013 across select Middle East and Africa markets including Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, Tanzania, Morocco and Iraq, demonstrating a phased regional rollout pattern to address country specific requirements. The implementation covered operational processes for finance, credit and collections, rebates and incentives, and sales across the MEACIS footprint, with explicit attention to the IT Distribution business unit where Vistex IP was applied.
Governance and process restructuring emphasized centralized master data stewardship through Vistex and formalized dispute and collections workflows through SAP Receivables Management CCD to improve controls across multiple legal entities. One of the documented implementation challenges was ensuring compliance with local statutory taxation and business practice requirements in countries where standard SAP does not provide localized country versions, which required configuration and local statutory mapping to meet legal obligations.
The engagement was recorded as successfully completed under senior SAP FICO leadership, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0, SAP Receivables Management CCD, SAP Vistex with IP module, and CRM Sales operating as the primary application stack for ERP Financial and commercial process orchestration across the MEACIS region.
