| Sage | Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise | Sage Intacct | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014 Refuse Specialists implemented Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial solution, replacing Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise. The deployment centralized core accounting functions under the company’s Accounting Department, which independently operated and maintained accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Configuration focused on general ledger and journal entry controls, accounts receivable cash application workflows, and accounts payable processing. Sage Intacct supported daily processing of customer payments from checks, ACH, credit card transactions, and lockbox deposits, and was the system of record for recording expense transactions, writing off bad debt, and posting adjustments to the balance sheet and income statement. Bi-weekly payroll posting was incorporated as a recurring operational process and reconciliations covered 401K, health insurance, and multiple other benefit and liability accounts.
The transition project was led internally to move accounting workflows from Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise to Sage Intacct and emphasized establishing repeatable routines for daily cash processing, bi-weekly payroll posting, and month end reconciliations. As an ERP Financial deployment Sage Intacct was used to support the Accounting Department and to unify AR, AP, payroll posting, cash management, and general ledger responsibilities across the company’s finance function.
