In 2017, Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) engaged 6e Technologies to strategize and architect a transition from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP across its ERP Financial footprint. The engagement formalized a modularized migration approach, with 6e Technologies executing requirements gathering, design and configuration, testing, and transition support for Oracle Cloud ERP deployments.
During the sustainment phase 6e Technologies provided both functional and technical consultancy to maintain RTD’s Oracle E-Business Suite environment, specifically supporting Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets modules while preparing for cutover. Workstreams included configuration of parallel financial workflows, documentation of business rules, and test plan development to align Oracle Cloud ERP functional modules with existing financial and HR workloads.
Integrations remained a central focus, RTD and 6e preserved and re-architected interfaces between Oracle systems and non-oracle workload applications, and established data flow patterns to support consolidated reporting across third-party systems and EBS. The program emphasized preserving live integrations during sustainment, designing comparable integration touchpoints for Oracle Cloud ERP, and ensuring data continuity for operational and financial reporting.
Governance for the transition was executed as a modular rollout managed by 6e Technologies, combining technical transition support with business process alignment across finance and HR functions. The engagement positioned 6e to implement and support RTD’s modularized transition from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP while maintaining reporting and integration continuity during the phased migration.
