In 2011, Renewi implemented Unifiedpost Akti Digital Invoicing to deploy electronic invoicing and payment capabilities across its sales invoicing workflows. The implementation centered on Unifiedpost's e-invoicing and payment capabilities, including embedding a payment button on customer invoices to streamline collections and improve the customer payment experience. This deployment is classified under AP Automation and was aimed at finance and payments functions to accelerate invoice delivery and receipt of customer payments.
The case study highlights finance and payments outcomes, and the attribution to Unifiedpost Akti Digital Invoicing is an inferred module-level mapping based on Unifiedpost's e-invoicing and payment offerings rather than an explicit product name in the source. Operational scope focused on sales invoicing and adjacent accounts payable processes, with configuration to present invoice-level payment links and to automate electronic invoice delivery. Renewi Unifiedpost Akti Digital Invoicing AP Automation supported finance and sales invoicing functions by orchestrating invoice-to-pay interactions and customer-facing payment workflows.

| IFS | Legacy | IFS Ultimo E-Learning | Learning and Development | HCM | MaxGrip | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024 Renewi implemented IFS Ultimo E-Learning as part of a coordinated Learning and Development initiative to standardize training for technical and maintenance staff supporting its Enterprise Asset Management program. IFS Ultimo E-Learning was deployed across a multi-site footprint in the United Kingdom covering Wakefield, Barnsley Doncaster and Rotherham BDR, Cumbria and East London ELWA, with MaxGrip engaged to run project management and change management for the rollout.
During the blueprinting phase the implementation was organized into two primary workstreams, business process design and detailed functional design. Workshops with key users defined uniform maintenance processes to be adopted across all sites, while detailed functional design established configuration requirements, acceptance criteria, and a technical blueprint subject to regular design reviews to ensure viability and alignment with operational needs.
The realization and build phase focused on data collection, cleansing and migration, using standardized data collection templates aligned to the functional blueprint, with MaxGrip executing the migration into Ultimo. Configuration and functional setup followed the blueprint and were validated against a predefined test plan, key users conducted functional tests and Renewi site teams performed User Acceptance Testing, and the system build and configuration were documented for ongoing maintenance. Training combined the IFS Ultimo E-Learning platform with on site hands on sessions delivered by certified MaxGrip consultants who remained available for follow up.
Go-live and post implementation included formal launch, a hyper care period with on site MaxGrip support providing coaching, Q&A and walk in help, and operational monitoring to stabilize use. The program has completed implementation at two of five sites and retained a six day implementation cadence per site, delivering quick time to value, a strong emphasis on data governance through cleansing and migration, introduction of the mobile Ultimo Go app to boost user engagement, and rapid user adoption that strengthened Renewi UKs data management and operational capability for future scalability.

| IFS | Legacy | IFS Ultimo EAM | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | MaxGrip | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024, Renewi implemented IFS Ultimo EAM as its Enterprise Asset Management solution across five UK sites, including Wakefield, Barnsley Doncaster and Rotherham BDR, Cumbria and East London ELWA. The multi-site rollout is being delivered by MaxGrip, which established project management and change management governance to coordinate cross-site sequencing and stakeholder engagement, with two sites already completed and three sites in progress.
The implementation followed a phased architecture driven by a formal blueprinting stage, separating business process design from detailed functional design. Business process design standardized maintenance workflows and acceptance criteria across sites, while detailed functional design produced the configuration specifications and testability requirements for IFS Ultimo EAM. Regular design reviews ensured the blueprint aligned with operational needs and technical constraints.
During realization and build, the program emphasized disciplined data governance, with MaxGrip producing data collection templates, overseeing data cleansing, and migrating validated asset and maintenance data into IFS Ultimo EAM. Configuration and testing used a predefined test plan, functional validation by the project team, and User Acceptance Testing by Renewi site teams, with all setup and configuration documented for operational handover. Training combined Ultimo e learning with on site instructor led sessions delivered by certified MaxGrip consultants to accelerate adoption and competency.
Go live and post implementation included a hyper care period with on site MaxGrip support providing on the job coaching, Q and A, and walk in help to stabilize operations. The deployment impacted maintenance and asset management functions by embedding standardized maintenance processes and mobile enabled field workflows through the Ultimo Go application. Documented outcomes reported by the program include a six day implementation cadence per site, a strong emphasis on data cleansing and migration, faster user engagement via the Ultimo Go mobile app, and a modernized Enterprise Asset Management framework positioned for future growth.
