| Epicor | Legacy | Epicor Vision | Distribution ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2022 | 2022 | In 2022, Replacement Parts, Inc. implemented Epicor Vision as its Distribution ERP to standardize warehouse and distribution operations across its multi-channel network. The Epicor Vision deployment was positioned to support the companys four large distribution centers and a 215 store corporate footprint, aligning the Distribution ERP with both wholesale professional sales and traditional retail point of sale operations. The Epicor Vision implementation centered on warehouse management and inventory control, order management, purchasing, and finance capabilities that are typical for a Distribution ERP. Configuration work emphasized support for hub and spoke distribution workflows, enabling Manufacturer to Warehouse to Local Store flows used across the business, and included reporting and business intelligence interfaces to support data warehousing and BI activities described by the IT organization. Integrations were configured to interface with existing store and web systems, including the CounterWorks POS environment and the RPINet interactive web-based store management system, and to operate against the companys Sequel and MySequel database estate. The deployment also accounted for electronic data interchange requirements used by the wholesale channels, and governance was organized through the internal Vision Support and VISION Warehouse Management Systems Group structures noted in the companys IT organization. Operational ownership was centralized under the CIO / VP of Digital Business, with day to day IT planning, network and database administration, and coordination of internal and outsourced development teams. Governance practices incorporated oversight of enterprise application software, ecommerce integration, warehouse management and EDI, along with procurement and contract management for ongoing support and enhancement of Epicor Vision. Epicor Vision was therefore implemented as the core Distribution ERP to unify inventory, order and warehouse processes across Replacement Parts, Inc., integrating with existing POS, web store, and database systems while operating under an in-house support and governance model managed by the companys IT leadership. | |
