| SAP | Legacy | SAP Predictive Asset Insights | Enterprise Asset Management, Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2021 | In 2020, RetiPiu implemented SAP Predictive Asset Insights as part of an SAP Intelligent Asset Management deployment, aligned to the Enterprise Asset Management,Asset Performance Management category. The program was initiated to address disparate asset maintenance applications that were not integrated with core systems, to quickly identify critical network events, and to improve prioritization and scheduling of field maintenance work. The implementation centered on SAP Predictive Asset Insights together with SAP Asset Intelligence Network and SAP Enterprise Asset Management running on SAP S/4HANA, while SAP Internet of Things on SAP Business Technology Platform provided real time telemetry such as pressure and temperature for asset health monitoring. Configuration included building and training predictive algorithms to detect abnormal performance and configuring automated work order generation, and the Simple Maintenance Solution from Espedia provided mobile access for field technicians to view and update maintenance data. Integration architecture tied SAP Predictive Asset Insights and SAP Asset Intelligence Network into the SAP S/4HANA landscape to unify asset, maintenance, sales, purchasing, and finance data flows. SAP IoT feeds were used to instrument gas network assets and trigger maintenance workflows for events like leakages or gas cabin malfunctions, and the solution provided operational coverage for field service assignments, work order tracking, and a template approach to add new equipment and extend predictive maintenance to electricity and lighting networks. Governance focused on a single unified maintenance process from incident or order through field execution and back to ERP for financial and procurement follow up, with mobile-enabled operator workflows and configured alert-to-work-order rules. Reported outcomes from the deployment include full visibility into maintenance schedules and work order status, a faster request to activation cycle for new gas customers, a 20% reduction in FTE costs for maintenance, and a 15% to 20% reduction in preventive maintenance interventions. |
