The implementation centered on P2P and Materials Management capabilities, with explicit configuration and super user support for P2P MM modules. Functional coverage included the full purchase requisition to purchase order lifecycle, vendor master management and invoice processing, and the evidence of a dedicated SAP super user role indicates hands-on configuration, issue resolution and user support for 450+ functional users.
Operational integrations and coverage included a direct interface with Accounts Payable in the UK and collaboration with an outsourced global vendor team and an outsourced Buy team. The implementation restructured maintenance and planning workflows across Rio Tinto Australia operations, embedding process change management and capability uplift alongside the technical SAP Enterprise Asset Management rollout.
