In 2012 River City Construction implemented Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise as its ERP Financial system to centralize job costing and financial operations. The deployment supported finance and field operations across the company, with configuration focused on job cost capture, billing, payroll processing, document attachment, and daily work order entry.
Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise was used to generate job cost and estimate sheets for warranty approvals, to enter and process weekly payroll, to generate customer bills and prepare bank deposits, and to maintain customer and employee records. The office manager recorded technician work orders and daily updates in Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise, attached site photos to individual job records, and produced daily reports of workflow, job profit and loss, and employee hours.
The implementation was integrated operationally with Xora and Ace Project for field data capture and project records, and with MapQuest for mileage confirmation, all of which were entered or reconciled into Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise. Microsoft Outlook was used to manage scheduling and appointments, and warranty company interactions and approvals were coordinated through the office manager as part of the operational process.
Governance and process workflows emphasized preapproval for warranty work and strict record keeping, the office manager obtained job approvals before onsite repairs and maintained both electronic and manual customer files. Daily after‑work meetings with the head technician and owner were used to reconcile work performed and update Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise records, preserving an auditable sequence for job closeouts and warranty submissions.
