SAP Legacy SAP Concur Expense Expense Management ERP n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Rocky Mountain Equipment deployed SAP Concur Expense for Expense Management to centralize travel and expense reporting across its manufacturing operations. Rocky Mountain Equipment SAP Concur Expense Expense Management was positioned to standardize expense capture and approval flows for roughly 1,000 employees, supporting corporate finance, travel operations, and accounts payable functions. SAP Concur Expense was configured to enforce policy controls, automated expense reporting, digital receipt ingestion, multi-level approval workflows, and exception handling rules consistent with Expense Management best practices. Configuration emphasized structured expense types, travel voucher processing, and documented exception approval workflows to align with internal controls and auditability requirements. The implementation included an operational integration point with ETS2, where a copy of the resource order, cost comparison, and related documentation of exception approval must be uploaded to ETS2 or Concur when the travel voucher is filed. This integration established a single-document repository requirement at the point of voucher submission to maintain linkage between expense records and supporting procurement documentation. Governance changes accompanied the rollout, mandating that finance and travel teams follow the new upload and exception documentation policy at voucher filing, and that expense approvers validate attached resource orders and cost comparisons during review. The deployment therefore centralized expense processing and documentation capture into SAP Concur Expense while enforcing enterprise controls through the ETS2 document linkage requirement.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2015 2018
In 2015 Rocky Mountain Equipment implemented Microsoft Power BI as part of its Analytics and BI capabilities. The initiative produced several successful proof of concepts across Oil & Gas, Investment and Finance verticals, demonstrating the application of Power BI for reporting and analytics beyond core manufacturing scenarios. The implementation combined Dimensional Modeling and SSAS Tabular Models to establish a semantic layer feeding interactive dashboards and self service reports. Microsoft Power BI served as the front end, SSAS Tabular provided in memory analytical models, dimensional modeling underpinned the data warehouse schema, and SharePoint 2013 was used to host and distribute reports. Operationally the work focused on enterprise reporting and analytics functions, aligning semantic models with business metrics used by finance, operations and executive reporting. Governance and rollout were organized around model reuse and POC driven iteration, with documentation of Dimensional Modeling and SSAS Tabular Models to support broader adoption across the organization.
