Microsoft Microsoft Dynamics NAV Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 Rogue Ales & Spirits implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment replaced Microsoft Dynamics NAV and extended across the company's brewery, distillery, and multi-location restaurant group, covering core finance and back-office functions across Accounting/Reporting, Compliance/Legal, Purchasing, Technology, and Payroll/Human Resources teams. The implementation emphasized core financial modules and configuration work, including a comprehensive general ledger reconfiguration, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, treasury controls, and procurement process automation. As part of the finance redesign the company rebuilt its financial statements and reduced GL accounts from over 900 line items to less than 200, aligning chart of accounts and consolidation logic within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was integrated with Toast, XtraChef, Vicinity, and Power BI to unify point of sale, cost and invoice data, supply chain intelligence, and executive reporting. The finance leadership also negotiated and managed a transition to an accounts receivable based line of credit, reflecting tighter integration between ERP cash management and banking relationships. Governance and operational change was led from the CFO office, which centralized purchasing, established the company’s first procurement and sourcing team, and initiated an overseas supply chain project in 2024. The rollout supported multi-site restaurant operations and corporate manufacturing alike, and the ERP and linked platforms were used to drive purchasing centralization, cost controls, and consolidated financial reporting across the enterprise.
