In 2021 Rotork implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform, deploying core finance and advanced warehouse management capabilities across manufacturing and logistics operations. The implementation centered on the D365 FinOps core ledger and inventory functions together with the D365 Warehouse App to support an advanced warehousing environment and integrated inventory workflows.
Design and configuration work was driven by a subject matter expert for warehouse management who designed configuration set up and operational logic for slotting, picking, receiving and goods movement scenarios within Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. The SME led the development, design and process mapping activities, and authored and executed test scripts through UAT cycles and DILT performance testing to validate warehouse and finance transaction flows.
The program worked with SI partner functional consultants to align warehouse application behavior with corporate supply chain, production, finance and engineering processes, ensuring transaction orchestration between the D365 Warehouse App and core finance and inventory modules. Operational coverage included warehouse and logistics operations with downstream touchpoints into supply chain planning, production reporting and financial posting, reflecting a cross-functional implementation footprint.
Governance emphasized documented process maps, iterative testing and structured training deliverables, using the ClickLearn Digital Adoption Platform to develop end to end training materials and provide learning support to authors across Supply Chain, Production, Finance and Engineering. Implementation activities included configuration, testing, training and rollout support, with the SME role embedded across design, UAT and performance validation phases.

In 2019, Rotork deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources as its Core HR system. The implementation established Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources as the company’s first HRIS across Rotork’s four divisions and 90 global locations, providing a centralized platform for employee records and HR operations.
The deployment focused on master data activities and modular configuration, including extensive data cleansing, mapping, testing and migration. Functional capabilities implemented include core employee record management, structured recruitment tracking and onboarding document workflows, absence and case management for grievances and disciplinaries, and formal leave processes for parental, paternity and maternity rights.
Integrations and operational touch points were explicitly addressed, with SharePoint used for maintaining complete electronic personnel files and HireRight used for reference checking as part of the recruitment workflow. The project also established operational handoffs to global payroll teams and financial controllers for pay review and annual bonus processes, with multi-template approval mail merges used to orchestrate increases and payments.
Governance and rollout responsibilities were embedded in the HR operating model, supporting the Senior HR Operations Manager, four Heads of HR and the HR Director, and enabling recurring board-level reporting on diversity, gender pay gap, salary and benefits. Data governance, process improvement and the design and management of a global recruitment tracker were core parts of the program, ensuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources supported both operational HR services and strategic reporting needs.

Amex GBT Egencia was configured to manage booking workflows and to provide transaction-level travel data into the corporate expense and project accounting fabric. The implementation was integrated with SAP Concur for expense claiming and aligned with Project Accounting in Microsoft Dynamics 365, while reporting and reconciliation workflows connected to OneStream FP&A and Sage 200.
Operational coverage included finance, project teams, HR and procurement across Rotork headquarters and distributed sites, with rollout coordinated through group level governance. Delegation of authority and approval level monitoring were enforced to control travel approvals and supplier spend. The program also supported the initiation of auditable actuals reporting and the first use of project accounting in D365, outcomes that contributed to auditors approving the 2023 actuals reporting process.
