In 2015, Royal Boskalis began implementing Infor CloudSuite Expense Management as part of a broader move to Infor CloudSuite. The program uses Infor UpgradeX to provide a predictable path from on premise applications to the Infor Business Cloud and will start in the Netherlands before expanding to locations globally.
Infor CloudSuite Expense Management was deployed to standardize enterprise expense reporting, policy enforcement, automated approval workflows and integration into financial close processes. The implementation is delivered as part of the Infor CloudSuite suite and coexists with Infor LN, Infor ION, Infor Ming.le, and Infor Dynamic Enterprise Performance Management d/EPM, leveraging Expense Management capabilities such as receipt capture, workflow routing and compliance controls.
Architecturally the solution is cloud based and uses Infor ION middleware to integrate transactional expense data with the Infor LN ERP and d/EPM analytics, while Infor Ming.le provides collaboration and contextual notifications. Operational ownership is centered on finance and accounts payable functions, with rollout waves planned from the Netherlands to Boskalis sites globally to ensure expense transactions feed the core ERP and performance management layers.
Governance follows the UpgradeX model, enabling staged cloud adoption and a single vendor upgrade path that reduces the need for extensive additional resources when supporting future acquisitions. The vendor communications emphasize deep industry specific functionality hosted in a secure environment, alongside a lower total cost of ownership and scalability as the business grows.

| Vanmeijel | Legacy | Metacom ERP | Construction ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Royal Boskalis implemented Metacom ERP as part of its Construction ERP portfolio to support contract administration and project accounting across its global operations. The deployment was managed within an ERP Services organization responsible for multiple ERP platforms and covered approximately 4000 users in over 300 administrations worldwide.
Metacom ERP was positioned to deliver core construction ERP capabilities with a focus on contract management and project cost control, and it was managed alongside other platforms including BaaN V, Infor LN, SAP and IFS. The ERP Services team comprised 17 functional and technical application managers, supported by more than 30 contingent workers and external suppliers, who handled configuration, incident resolution and monthly change cycles for the application.
Operational governance included managed interfaces and contracting relationships toward financial management systems such as SAP BPC, SAP DM and IT2, and toward HRM systems including AFAS and Workday, under a centralized contracting and tactical service level management practice. The organization managed relationships with over 40 IT suppliers worldwide and provided cross-functional support covering finance and project delivery activities tied to the Metacom ERP instance.
Service management and governance responsibilities were explicit, including service level management, contract management, resource management, cost control and budgeting, and chairing change advisory boards to coordinate multi-ERP changes. The ERP Services team reported handling over 1250 incidents and 150 changes per month and operated to a stated availability target of 99.5 percent.

In 2014, Royal Boskalis implemented Infor Business Intelligence 10x as part of a broader Infor 10x suite deployment. The implementation of Infor Business Intelligence 10x was delivered alongside Infor LN 10x, with Infor ION and Infor Ming.le included in the rollout, positioning the solution squarely in the Analytics and BI category to support enterprise reporting and analytics needs.
The deployment was structured as an embedded BI layer within the Infor LN 10x estate, using Infor Business Intelligence 10x to provide centralized reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics. The implementation leveraged the platform capability set typical of Analytics and BI applications, including a semantic reporting layer, interactive dashboards, and scheduled enterprise reports to support decision making across operational workflows.
Integration architecture centered on Infor ION for data orchestration and message-level integration, enabling Infor Business Intelligence 10x to consume transactional and master data from Infor LN 10x and to federate information for consolidated reporting. Infor Ming.le was used to provide collaborative context around analytical outputs, embedding BI insights into user workflows to support cross-functional visibility and action.
Governance and process adoption emphasized centralized reporting controls and collaborative workflows, aligning BI delivery with Boskalis change management needs during a period of company growth. The implementation explicitly supported the change process Boskalis experienced, enabling more consistent analytics and governance across business functions such as finance, operations, and project control.
