In 2018 S. Bertram implemented Aspen Canopy as its Food and Beverage ERP to centralize transactional processing and reporting for finance and operations. The Aspen Canopy application was provisioned to support roughly 100 internal users and to cover finance, inventory control, purchasing, order entry and warehouse-facing event monitoring.
The deployment included core Aspen Canopy modules AP, AR, IC, PO, OE and EventWatch, with reporting and analytics delivered through AspenView and SQL Server. Advanced report workloads were configured to produce Customer Sales by Day Week Month Year, Revenue and GPM reports, and to auto-generate and deliver scheduled reports to inboxes based on configured triggers, reflecting a focus on operationalized scheduled reporting and executive-facing dashboards.
Aspen Canopy operated alongside a broader infrastructure managed by the IT team, including Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 Azure Portal administration, DUO two factor authentication, remote support tooling such as ConnectWise Control and RDP, and mobile device management platforms Hexnode and ManageEngine. Reporting and data extraction explicitly relied on AspenView and SQL Server, while other operational systems in the environment included an IoT x410 controller for compressor monitoring, Honeywell Vocollect voice units and a BFC Warehouse Management System for warehouse execution, and Avaya IP Office Manager for telephony.
Governance and rollout practices were documented and institutionalized by the IT organization, which produced training documentation, onboarded and trained staff on core line of business workflows, and captured technology runbooks in IT Glue for business continuity. The IT team maintained device and endpoint operations covering servers desktops laptops tablets and phones, administered enterprise Wi Fi and network access points, and managed the mobile tablet fleet used for routing and compliance, aligning operational support with Aspen Canopy application ownership.
