SAP Legacy SAP Business One ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Saddleback Ltd implemented SAP Business One as its ERP Financial solution to consolidate finance, inventory, and order management across its UK distribution operations. The deployment addressed needs arising from rapid growth and a portfolio of high end cycling brands, aligning the application with finance, warehouse, ecommerce, and brand services functions. The SAP Business One implementation focused on core financial modules, inventory and stock control, order management, pricing and currency translation capabilities. Saddleback extended the baseline with the Boyum Usability Pack to add fields, buttons and automation that sped routine processes, and later evaluated an upgrade to SAP Business One Version 9.3 to unlock additional functionality. Integration work included a structured integration of Produmex WMS by Boyum with SAP Business One to support handheld barcode scanning, faster goods booking, granular SKU breakdowns by size and colour, live stock data feeds, back order reporting and automated invoicing. The architecture connected warehouse operational tooling to SAP Business One financial ledgers and order flows, enabling consistent data for websites and brand reporting. Governance and operating model changes were driven by IT and Operations through an internal review process and a phased upgrade program. Saddleback engaged Vision33 to plan and execute the Version 9.3 upgrade and Produmex integration, the partner providing roadmap guidance, implementation oversight and ongoing customer relationship management during rollout. Explicit outcomes cited by Saddleback include tighter stock control, faster warehouse booking, improved traceability and accounting readiness for auditors, and the ability to present instant pricing, stock levels and currency views to external websites and brand partners. The SAP Business One ERP Financial deployment supported Saddlebacks international expansion strategy while avoiding the need for physical assets in new territories.
