In 2016 Al Naboodah Group Enterprises implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to consolidate and standardize core finance operations across its group companies. Oracle Cloud ERP was deployed as an ERP Financial platform to centralize accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger processing under a unified chart of accounts and reporting framework.
The implementation emphasized financial modules and configuration aligned to group-level requirements, including accounts payable validation and matching workflows, payroll management and payroll transitions, online transaction processing for letters of credit and fund transfers, expense control spanning warehouse, HR, logistics and clearing operations, consolidation of VAT and FTA filing, and design of financial and management reporting and allocations. The program included development and customization of Oracle Applications modules, end-to-end testing and production support to align application behavior with existing operational controls.
Integrations were focused on operational touchpoints explicitly managed by finance staff, with Oracle Cloud ERP interfacing to online banking channels and payroll interfaces and using custom modules to capture trade finance activities such as LC and labour guarantees. Operational coverage was at group level across multiple subsidiaries including consumer goods and automotive businesses, supporting finance, HR, treasury and logistics functions.
Governance incorporated centralized chart of accounts design, consolidated VAT workflows for FTA compliance, custodianship controls for employee documents and online transaction approvals, and ongoing application support processes. Senior finance staff led design discussions and managed configuration, customization, testing and production support to ensure the Oracle Cloud ERP deployment met the group’s ERP Financial requirements.

In 2019 Al Naboodah Group Enterprises implemented Epicor Kinetic, a Manufacturing ERP, as the group-wide backbone to standardise processes and create shared services across 15 business units. The deployment covered a conglomerate operating in construction, MEP, transportation, travel, logistics, electrical, solar, fit-out and automotive dealerships, consolidating roughly 500 ERP users into a single platform supporting a workforce the Group reports at over 15,000 employees.
The Epicor Kinetic rollout followed a two-phase approach, beginning with human capital management and payroll modules plus enterprise reporting to enable immediate access to consolidated information. In the second phase the project provisioned finance, supply chain management, service management and Epicor Knowledge Mentor for employee training, and later expanded to include Epicor Enterprise Content Management in 2019 to digitise content and automate workflows. The implementation leveraged Epicor Kinetic’s building block modularity and concurrent licensing model, and aligned with the Group’s technical standards by using the application’s .NET platform and SQL database.
Operational integration focused on consolidating transactions and reporting into one reporting portal and enabling interfaces with third-party applications to support cross-company visibility. The program established a shared services operating model for back-office functions, centralising finance, HR and procurement processes on Epicor Kinetic to serve all 15 companies from a single instance. The deployment was executed with direct engagement of Epicor consulting services and a cross-functional internal team with executive sponsorship.
Governance and process controls were embedded into the system, with strict change control, approval and risk management workflows implemented to standardise policies across business units and eliminate data islands. Functional changes included standardised vendor master and customer histories to enable group-level procurement leverage and consolidated credit exposure assessment, plus an Employee Self Service portal to provide online HR visibility for associates. Training and adoption were supported through Epicor Knowledge Mentor and system fine tuning post go-live.
Outcomes described by the Group include faster consolidated reporting for accounts receivable that previously required roughly two days to reconcile across systems, improved procurement leverage from a unified vendor view, and reduced HR transactional load through self-service. The program was delivered on time, has been regularly upgraded to current releases, and the Group is evaluating cloud-hosted options for Epicor Kinetic as part of its future IT roadmap.
