| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2020 | 2021 |
In 2020, Safran implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial core to standardize transactional and master data across its manufacturing operations. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment was scoped as a Core Model targeted for rollout across 18 factories in 9 countries, with a pilot at Safran Cabin France in Toulouse beginning in October 2021.
The program emphasized Supply Chain functional coverage within the ERP Financial program, specifically addressing Purchasing, Planning and Warehousing capabilities. Safran defined requirements and end to end processes for these modules to inform SAP S/4 HANA Core Model configuration, including process flows and automation for planning and warehouse operations.
A central implementation stream was master data harmonization, where multiple projects consolidated items and suppliers databases to align with Safran Group standards ahead of the SAP S/4 HANA migration. Operational activity included coordination of data transfers, notably the managed transfer of 2000 part numbers valued at USD 4M to factories in California and Thailand, and knowledge sharing with sister companies in Thailand and Germany.
Program governance combined a network of about 50 key users, bi-weekly steering committees with executive Supply Chain management, and liaison between the SAP program director, senior supply chain leadership and the SAP integrator responsible for technical developments. This governance structure supported milestone tracking, staged site rollouts and validation of the Core Model at the Toulouse pilot site.
Operational tooling and process changes included live trackers and follow up tools for planning, sales management, shortage analysis and warehousing, along with rollout of Sales and Operations Planning to consolidate capacity and sales inputs. The Safran SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial implementation therefore paired financial ERP consolidation with targeted Supply Chain process redesign and master data harmonization to support cross site operations.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2013 | 2014 |
In 2013, Safran began a roll-out of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform. The program centers on deploying SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to create a centralized employee master data store and organizational management capability across the enterprise, using a cloud SaaS deployment model and configuration-driven architecture. Implementation work is led by Safran IT staff, focusing on configuring global employee records, position and organizational hierarchies, and core HR transactional workflows to support hires, transfers, and terminations.
Configuration emphasized Core HR functional capabilities including employee master data management, organizational management, HR self-service, and standardized transactional HR processes. Governance and process changes were introduced to embed role-based access controls, centralized HR data governance, and process owner validation into SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. Safran IT coordinates configuration, testing, and staged roll-out activities with HR stakeholders and site administrators to align operational HR processes and reporting with the new single source of record.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Concur Travel | Travel Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Safran implemented SAP Concur Travel as part of a corporate Travel Management initiative. The program sits alongside the companys documented experience with current T&E solutions KDS and SAP Concur Travel, reflecting a worldwide operational scope for travel and expense capabilities.
The SAP Concur Travel deployment emphasized core Travel Management functions including centralized travel booking, policy enforcement, automated approval workflows, and expense reconciliation consistent with standard travel and expense workflows. Configuration work focused on travel policy rules, routing of approvals and automated expense capture to standardize corporate travel controls across entities.
Operational coverage extended globally with explicit activities to deploy new entities within the NAFTA scope, positioning the solution to support corporate travel and finance business functions across regions. The rollout addressed entity provisioning and localized policy configuration for regional compliance and operational consistency.
Safran participated in customer experience feedback workshops and used end user feedback to help define changes with the publisher, establishing a governance loop between local stakeholders and the vendor for iterative product configuration. These feedback and governance mechanisms were leveraged to refine user experience, policy alignment and deployment sequencing across newly onboarded entities.
