In 2015, Sagicor Bank Jamaica went live with Temenos T24 as its Core Banking system. The deployment followed a Q2 2014 contract signing and formed part of the post acquisition integration of Sagicor Bank and RBC Royal Bank Jamaica after their June 2014 merger.
The implementation deployed Temenos T24 to provide core account management, deposit processing, lending and transaction processing, customer ledger and general ledger capabilities that are typical of Core Banking platforms. Temenos T24 was implemented as a front to back operational platform supporting retail and commercial banking functions across the bank's Jamaican operations. The acquired RBC operation had been a long standing user of T24 as part of a multisite regional rollout, which aided alignment of data models and operational processes.
At the front end the bank rolled out the Netteller omnichannel banking platform supplied by Netinfo to provide digital and channel access, integrating Netteller with Temenos T24 for real time customer and transaction flows. Operational scope covered branches, digital channels, and back office processing groups, consolidating core transaction processing and customer account servicing on Temenos T24. Governance workstreams focused on post merger integration, data harmonization and centralized core processing to align the acquired operation with Sagicor Bank Jamaica's operational model.
