ServiceNow Legacy ServiceNow HR HR Service Delivery HCM n/a 2022 2022
In 2022 Saipem implemented ServiceNow HR to extend its Now platform capabilities for HR Service Delivery. ServiceNow HR was deployed as part of a broader ServiceNow program that began with IT Service Management in January 2018 and later expanded to include IT Operations Management, Strategic Portfolio Management, and Facility Management on a unified Now platform. The ServiceNow HR implementation established a centralized employee service portal and configured HR Service Delivery workflows to manage HR cases, request fulfillment, knowledge articles, and SLA tracking consistent with HR Service Delivery functional patterns. ServiceNow HR was configured to support approximately 6,000 HR users in Italy while leveraging the same platform practices and automation patterns used across Saipem’s IT modules, enabling standardized routing, role based access, and automated fulfillment steps. Operationally the ServiceNow deployment was consolidated into a single Now platform portal that serves more than 14,000 internal and external users for IT related activities, about 6,000 users for HR in Italy, and roughly 4,000 users for facility management. ServiceNow HR was implemented to interoperate with the existing ServiceNow modules for ITSM, ITOM, Strategic Portfolio Management, and Facility Management, creating a platform level integration surface that improves traceability between HR, IT and facilities workflows without introducing external system names. Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, using a phased learning approach that began with ITSM and extended to HR, shifting supplier performance assessment from isolated contractual SLA reviews toward end to end fulfillment time measurement. The Now platform provided monitoring and traceability used to redesign processes, and platform level results from the broader ServiceNow program include a reduction in serious IT incidents to an average of 0.11% in the last year, user satisfaction exceeding 80% for incident management and peaking at 87% for support requests, and a reduction in ticket lead time from 1.89 days to 0.54 days. Saipem continues to evaluate broader adoption of ServiceNow for Facility Management and HR outside Italy to extend the same governance and operational model.

Cisco Systems Legacy Cisco Webex Meetings Audio Video and Web Conferencing Collaboration n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Saipem implemented Cisco Webex Meetings for Audio Video and Web Conferencing on their website. The Cisco Webex Meetings deployment was positioned to provide external-facing conferencing capabilities directly from Saipem web pages, enabling clients and partners to join live audio and video sessions initiated from public site links. This placement emphasized browser-based join flows and public meeting endpoints for contractor and client engagement. Cisco Webex Meetings configuration emphasized standard Audio Video and Web Conferencing functional modules including multi-party video, screen sharing, session recording, participant controls and meeting moderation, aligned with enterprise collaboration workflows. The implementation used the cloud-hosted Cisco Webex Meetings service integrated into site pages via embedded meeting widgets and join links, preserving single-click access for external users. Native browser clients and mobile endpoints were supported to reduce friction for remote attendees. Operational coverage focused on external communications and stakeholder engagement with use cases anchored to Saipem website touchpoints rather than internal enterprise systems. Governance and access were organized around centralized IT provisioning and meeting policy controls to manage public meeting endpoints, user authentication for partner sessions, and content retention for recorded meetings. The narrative centers on Saipem Cisco Webex Meetings within the Audio Video and Web Conferencing category as implemented in 2017.

Oracle Legacy Oracle AutoVue Enterprise Visualization Document Management Content Management n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, Saipem implemented Oracle AutoVue Enterprise Visualization to standardize 2D and 3D CAD viewing and collaboration across its capital-projects organization in EMEA and worldwide. The deployment used AutoVue 3-D Professional Advanced as the visualization engine and was positioned within Saipem’s Document Management strategy to provide consistent multi-format viewing and review capabilities. The implementation focused on core visualization and collaborative review capabilities common to Document Management solutions, including CAD viewing for 2D and 3D models, markup and redlining for technical reviews, and controlled review workflows to support engineering change and approval processes. Configuration emphasized standardized rendering and review templates to align engineering and project-management teams on drawing interpretation and revision handling. Oracle AutoVue Enterprise Visualization was integrated with Saipem’s centralized document management system to streamline document access, shorten review cycles, and improve project visibility for engineering and project-management processes. The integrated architecture supported distributed access by project teams across EMEA and global project sites, enabling centralized storage with federated viewing and review sessions. Governance concentrated on standardizing document review and approval workflows, centralizing access controls, and embedding visualization into engineering and project-management processes to ensure consistent reviews across capital projects. The deployment explicitly aimed to speed reviews and approvals and to improve project visibility, as reported by Saipem.
