In 2021, Santander Bank implemented Temenos T24 to establish a cloud-native core platform as part of a Core Banking program for Santander International. The effort initiated a targeted platform transformation to support the bank’s banking, savings and mortgage product lines and to improve digital customer journeys for mortgage products with plans to extend the digital platform across all business lines.
The deployment uses Temenos T24 delivered as Temenos SaaS with pre-configured banking and mortgages functionality, applying Core Banking capabilities for account and product servicing, loan and mortgage workflow support, and digital customer journey orchestration. The configuration emphasis is on pre-built banking modules and API-first componentization to accelerate product configuration and launch cycles.
Architecturally the implementation is cloud-native on Microsoft Azure, leveraging Temenos SaaS for resilience and elastic scalability, and exposing API-first interfaces to a new digital banking ecosystem. Temenos T24 as a centralized core supports integration patterns typical of cloud Core Banking platforms and is positioned to provide security and operational stability through the Azure platform.
Syncordis served as the system integrator and led an agile implementation approach for Santander International, covering operations in Jersey and the Isle of Man. The program is positioned to reduce operating costs, improve customer experience, accelerate time to market for new products and enable efficient scaling as the bank extends the platform across additional business lines.
