In 2021, SaskEnergy implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as its ERP Financial solution. From Nov 2021 to Jul 2022 a Solutions and Adoption Advisor supported the program over nine months, providing technical leadership and subject matter expertise for enterprise wide IT productivity and finance system adoption.
The deployment of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne focused on finance oriented configurations and operational reporting, with work to design and implement workflows, fields, dashboards, reports and KPI definitions that align with existing processes and standards. Configuration work included standing up finance modules and business unit structures typical of ERP Financial systems, and creating system configurations to support transaction controls and period end reporting.
Integrations were devised, tested and deployed between IT owned products and other internal systems, with explicit attention to upstream and downstream impacts and risk management across interfaces. The program engaged cross functional stakeholders in finance, procurement and central IT, and the implementation architecture emphasized configurable integrations and data flows to support enterprise accounting and transaction processing.
Governance and rollout activity included developing and delivering user training and help sessions, creating and maintaining technical documentation and user guides, and championing organizational adoption of the new capabilities. The role documented product gaps from business specifications and provided recommendations for product enhancements or business process change while working with IT groups to identify and manage deployment risks.

In 2020, SaskEnergy implemented Workday HCM to support Core HR functions across its HR Shared Services organization. The deployment centered on human resources workflows in Regina, SK and focused on employee onboarding, HR inquiries, and centralized HR recordkeeping using Workday HCM.
Configuration work included activation and planning for the People Analytics feature in Workday, structured reporting and HR data verification, and the mapping of business processes for core HR operations. Workday HCM was used to administer HR programs such as employee recognition of service and joint job evaluation, and to manage the HR inbox and related communications as part of the HRIS configuration.
Operational support and rollout activities were executed by Shared Services staff and co op personnel who assisted new employees with navigating Workday and who triaged and resolved technical HR issues. A strategic presentation to HR members introduced HR Analytics concepts and the implementation plan for the new People Analytics feature in Workday, contributing to governance alignment and local rollout sequencing.
Day to day governance emphasized data validation and report accuracy, with analysts reviewing HR data, reporting and business process behavior inside Workday HCM to ensure procedural consistency across HR functions. The project narrative centers on Workday HCM providing Core HR capabilities, people analytics enablement, and hands on operational support within SaskEnergy’s HR Shared Services.

| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, SaskEnergy operated ClickSoftware for automated mobile workforce scheduling, a product later acquired by Salesforce and rebranded as Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware). The deployment focused on scheduling of installs and repairs and centralizing mobile workforce management into a Field Service Management platform to support dispatch and field operations.
Plans moved toward migration to the cloud version, referenced in market materials as Salesforce Field Service Lightning, but implementation across SaskEnergy, SaskPower and SaskTel encountered a significant amount of required customization and was subsequently put on hold. SaskTel used an existing Salesforce Master Agreement to secure improved commercial terms for the three Crowns, and the three organizations are coordinating a joint RFP to replace ClickSoftware, with governance efforts centering on harmonizing scheduling workflows, dispatch processes and procurement for Field Service Management.
