| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, SaskPower implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform, advancing a business case championed by the Director of SAP Solutions and Enterprise Analytics to transform critical finance and corporate processes. The initiative built on prior SAP on HANA work and was positioned to centralize core finance operations while enabling a roadmap for enterprise analytics and advanced data capabilities.
The SAP S/4 HANA deployment focused on standard ERP Financial capability areas, including general ledger and financial close, accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, treasury and cash management, cost accounting, and financial reporting and consolidation. Configuration and process design emphasized automation of statutory and management reporting workflows, period close orchestration, and the use of embedded analytics within SAP S/4 HANA for financial visibility.
The program was integrated with SaskPower’s enterprise analytics agenda, with explicit leadership in developing an Enterprise Analytics product and capabilities roadmap and pioneering the first machine learning implementations to support forecasting and decision support for finance. Integration work centered on linking transactional finance processes to analytics and machine learning streams rather than on discrete third party connectors.
Governance for the SAP S/4 HANA program emphasized cross-team synergies, allocation of financial and resource capacity for corporate programs, and active management of strategic stakeholder relationships to drive delivery. The Director also invested in leadership development and created governance structures to support phased rollout and value realization across corporate finance and related business functions.
SaskPower’s SAP S/4 HANA implementation served as a platform for formalizing enterprise analytics and machine learning capabilities, and it institutionalized program-level resource and stakeholder governance for ongoing ERP Financial operations and roadmap execution.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, SaskPower implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform to centralize employee records and support HR and workforce management functions across the crown corporation. The deployment was scoped alongside SAP HCM and Time & Attendance WFS business applications that were identified as part of the program inventory in the RFP.
The implementation covered Employee Central core data model configuration and SuccessFactors module sustainment, with functional emphases on employee profiles, position and organizational management, security role configuration, and reporting frameworks using SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central reporting constructs. Project activities explicitly included system changes, upgrades, patches, testing cycles, and year end processing as part of ongoing application lifecycle management.
Integration architecture specified the use of CPI Integration Suite for interfaces between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP HCM, and Time & Attendance systems, with integration patterns and transport processes included in the managed services scope. Operational coverage targeted HR and workforce management processes across corporate HR and payroll adjacent functions, and the integration envelope included reporting and data exchange responsibilities.
SaskPower issued an RFP to engage a single SAP authorized partner to provide provisioning and cloud managed services, defining sustainment responsibilities such as provisioning, deployment, testing, reporting, service request handling, incident management, and lifecycle maintenance for all SuccessFactors modules, SAP HCM, and WFS. The managed services brief assigned accountability for integration management via CPI Integration Suite and end to end operational ownership for SuccessFactors Employee Central as the enterprise Core HR solution.

| Nektar Inc | Legacy | Nektar Platform | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023 SaskPower implemented the Nektar Platform for Enterprise Asset Management to move inspection workflows off paper and into a mobile GIS-referenced system. The deployment focused on transmission and distribution inspections and was rolled out to contractors and staff across Saskatchewan, Canada, to standardize field data collection and reporting.
The implementation configured mobile GIS-referenced inspection forms, image capture, and real-time reporting tied to work-order and inspection workflows. These capabilities supported maintenance and CMMS-style usage inferred from the described work-order driven inspections, and they established a single application for field evidence, photographic records, and inspection metadata.
Operational coverage included field crews and external contractors performing transmission and distribution inspections, with data surfaced to managers and safety teams for remote visibility. The Nektar Platform served as the mobile inspection layer, providing GIS context for assets and enabling same-day reporting across sites within the provincial footprint.
Governance changes centered on replacing paper forms with standardized digital inspection templates and centralized reporting to accelerate inspection-to-action cycles. Outcomes reported by the deployment included paperless inspections, improved remote visibility for managers and safety teams, and faster maintenance and inspection workflows.
