In 2013, SEB Life International implemented Zarion Workflow Management as a Task Management application to formalize case handling and operational task flows across its operations. Zarion Workflow Management was adopted to provide structured task orchestration and visibility for back office and front office workflows within the insurer.
Configuration centered on task routing and queue management, incorporating Kanban style work boards and rule based task assignment consistent with Task Management capabilities. The implementation included workflow automation for routine processing, explicit approval and sign off mechanisms for high risk cases, and process mapping artifacts used to define end to end procedures.
Operational scope covered operations, front office support, and product teams, reflecting existing responsibilities such as maintaining pension product servicing and a product owner role that oversaw approximately 4,000 customers. Users engaged in user acceptance testing and training, and operational roles were configured to manage training schedules, sign off decisions, and cross department escalation.
Governance emphasized formalized process development, documented best practices and integration into migration projects through process mapping and user testing. Compliance oriented controls were embedded in workflows to support AML, KYC and due diligence checks, and rollout activities included training, process documentation and iterative configuration updates to align operations with the Zarion Workflow Management Task Management capabilities.
